Cakes can be done just the way you the bride (and maybe the groom) want it. Rather it be different kinds of ribbon, bright colors or even a monster truck running into the cake.
Yes I had a bride ask for the monster truck Sunday. I hope she calls, I really want to do it. That cake will create memory the family and guests will remember even after the couple has been married 50 years.
Christine wanted a tropical theme for her birthday and grandma did just that.
As she was having a party, we made 3 different flavors. Of course, the bottom one was chocolate. Wish I could have been there to see how her friends liked it, but Grandmas are a drag at teenage parties.
When your pie, cake or casserole boils over in the oven or onto the stove top, grab some table salt. Turn off the burner and/or the oven and douse the overflow with salt, then let it sit for a few minutes. Salt stops the food from burning, so you’ll avoid smoky smells.
Clean coffee pots with denture tables! Forget scrubbing to clean your coffee carafe. You can eliminate stains, mineral deposits and old oils that can alter the taste by filling the container with warm water & dropping in two denture-cleaning tables. Let it sit for 30 minutes and rinse clean with hot water. The same effervescence that lifts stains from dentures does the same for your coffee pots.
